We are pleased about this visit and take the opportunity to conduct a Gemba Walk with Mr. Shingo in a traditional company from the South Lower Saxony region. The highlight of the day will be the inspection of a production line from the food industry. During the walk, look over Ritsuo Shingo's shoulder and get to know his perspective. As a second highlight, Mr. Shingo will give a presentation on the importance of GEMBA and what it means to "Go and Watch." Unfortunately, many Gemba Walks do not go beyond the level of a "factory tour." Mr. Shingo calls such a tour MBWA (Management By Walking Around). For him, it is nothing more than a factory or department tour that does not promote improvement or develop employees.
